Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's location to show nearby events on the map and enable event check-in features.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and push notification tokens for delivering notifications.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including events attended, connections made, and check-in activity.

Information from QR Code Check-Ins

When you check in to an event using a QR code, we record your attendance at that event. This information is used to calculate your reputation score and provide analytics to event hosts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Create and manage your account
• Display events on the map and facilitate RSVPs and check-ins
• Enable connections (bonds) between users
• Calculate and display reputation scores
• Send push notifications about follows, bonds, messages, and event updates
• Provide event hosts with post-event analytics (attendance, check-in rates, connections made)
• Send analytics recap emails to event hosts
• Respond to your requests and support inquiries
• Monitor and improve the Service
• Enforce our Terms of Service

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With Other Users: Your profile information, posts, and event activity are visible to other users based on your privacy settings (public or bonds-only).
• With Event Hosts: When you RSVP or check in to an event, the host can see your username and attendance status. Hosts receive aggregated analytics about their events.
• Service Providers: We use third-party services including Supabase (database and authentication), Expo (push notifications), and Resend (email delivery) to operate the Service.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
• Safety: We may disclose information to protect the safety of our users or the public.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and secure authentication. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security policies, and secure authentication tokens.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Update: You can access and update your profile information at any time through the app.
• Delete Your Account: You can request account deletion by contacting us. This will remove your profile, posts, and associated data.
• Push Notifications: You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.
• Location: You can revoke location permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work without location access.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Vouch is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.
